Terms of Service

Last updated 29 September 2026 · Handled is early software

These are the terms you agree to by using Handled. They are short on purpose.

Who you are contracting with. Handled is operated by RPJ Innovations LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. These terms are an agreement between you and that company.

What Handled is

Handled is a household assistant. You tell it things about your family; it remembers them, works out what is coming, and tells you before it matters. It is early software and still being built, and some of what is described on this site is not switched on yet. Where that is true, it says so.

It is not advice

Handled organises, prepares and prompts. It does not interpret or recommend.

This is a design rule the product is built around, not a disclaimer added afterwards. In particular:

  • Health. Handled stores your family's health information, searches it, and helps you prepare questions for an appointment. It does not tell you what a result means, whether something is serious, or what to do about it. It is not a medical device and it is not a clinician.
  • Allergies and diet. Handled checks meal suggestions against the dietary rules you have given it, and refuses a plan that conflicts with one. That check is only ever as good as what you told it. It is a help, not a safeguard. You remain responsible for what your family eats.
  • Money, legal and tax. Same rule. It can hold and organise; it will not advise.

Your account

  • You need to be an adult to have an account. Handled is for the person running a household, and children do not have accounts.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself.
  • Only add information about people whose information you are entitled to hold — in practice, your own household.
  • If you forget your password, you can reset it. Ask from the sign-in screen and a link arrives by email, usually within a minute. It works once, and it expires after three hours. Using it signs out every device, including any you did not know about — that is deliberate, because the usual reason to reset a password is believing somebody else has it. If nothing arrives, check your spam folder, then email us at the address at the bottom of this page.

Nothing happens without you

Handled proposes; you approve. It does not send messages, make bookings, buy anything or contact anyone on your behalf. If that ever changes, it will change with your explicit consent and not quietly.

Your information stays yours

What you tell Handled belongs to you. We store and process it to run the service, as described in the privacy policy, and for nothing else. We do not sell it, and there are no adverts inside Handled.

We do advertise Handled, though, and that is a different thing. Our public website uses ordinary marketing analytics and advertising tools, which see visits to the site. They never see anything from inside your household — not a name, not an allergy, not a medical note. The privacy policy says exactly what they collect and where the line is.

You can see everything stored, delete any of it, or delete your account and the whole household with it, from inside the app.

What it costs

Nothing, today. Handled is intended to cost $20 a month for a whole household, and that price is published on the pricing page — but billing is not switched on, there is no way to pay, and no card has been taken from anyone.

When it does start, we will tell you before you are charged anything, and you will be able to decline and keep your data long enough to export or delete it.

What we ask of you

  • Do not use Handled to store information about people who have not agreed to it, beyond your own household.
  • Do not try to break, overload or get around the limits of the service.
  • Do not use it for anything unlawful.

What we do not promise

Handled is provided as it is. It is early software, so it may be unavailable, may lose a notification, or may get something wrong. Do not rely on it as the only record of anything that matters — a medication, an allergy, a legal deadline. It is built to be trustworthy and it is not yet old enough to have earned that.

To the extent the law allows, RPJ Innovations LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Handled. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from the Privacy screen, and that deletes the household with it. We may end or suspend an account that breaks these terms — with notice, and with time to get your information out.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that affects you, we will tell you in the app rather than quietly updating this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, where RPJ Innovations LLC is organised. Nothing here removes any right you have under the consumer-protection law of the state you actually live in.
